Day 1

So day one started at 10:00 when we all arose from our pits! We got ready and headed out to the Vietnamese Consulate which took a bit of finding but with some help from the locals we made it! Hannah and I handed in our visa applications (Emma being the organised one already had this fully prepared!) and made contact with our friend Imogen who told us to meet her at IFC, a Lane Crawford shopping centre that is gorgeous.. Wayy too gorgeous for three backpackers wearing shorts and flip flops! Anyway we eventually (!!) hooked up with Imo but had to leave her shortly after as she was heading to the sevens (lucky devil). From here we decided we fancied finding some sort of market place to have a mooch around, anyway we searched and searched but found nothing. Instead, however, we came across a hidden temple. Lit with incense from corner to corner it seemed very spiritual! We lit some for our loved ones and headed back to our hostel. That evening we went to the Peak but will tell more about that another time!

Cannot believe there's snow in England! Hope you're not too cold!
